Paragliding, Couture in 2006, & Norma Jean Mortensen

Where do I want to be today?

Yes, I want to be paragliding. When I was hiking with my Onkel Michael and Tante Mutschi in the Alps, I took this picture and was like “Hey I want to do that! And the best part is, it’s not even dangerous!” to which my Uncle was like “Um. What?” And then he informed me that if the wind was not in your favor, death was definitely an option…Eh, whatever. I still really want to do it. I mean just imagine how gorgeous it would be to sail and glide over blue mountains and marshmallow clouds…Furthermore, how cool would it be to do a photoshoot up there?

I borrowed some snapshots from style.com and pulled the looks from Christian Lacroix couture collection in the spring of 2006. I hunted around for some different looks and these could definitely be possibilities for my high fashion paragliding photoshoot.

Unrealistic to be in a couture gown floating gracefully over miles and miles of mountains and trees? Perhaps. New life ambition? Certainly.

To close, I’ve been researching my past life as Marilyn Monroe (um, go back a post for that explanation…) and she’s kind of glorious.

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when their right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."
^^Of course the basis of my life, although not trusting anyone but yourself is a lonely feel. I don't know if I agree with that yet. I think life without trust is like life without dessert. You can live but you’re missing the phenylethylamine chemical—the “love drug”—that makes you fall in happiness and joy.
My other favorites from the woman originally named as Norma Jean Mortensen (Marilyn Monroe a bit catchier, eh?)
"Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world."
"I just want to be wonderful."
"Sex is part of nature. I go along with nature."
“Ever notice how 'What the hell' is always the right answer?"
What she says makes me nod in agreement, smile, and laugh. Rumor has it on imdb.com that “At 168, Marilyn's IQ was significantly higher than John F. Kennedy's 129. (A score of 100 is considered average and 150 to be highly gifted.)” It’s been both confirmed and denied but in any case she was known as extremely intelligent. A person on wiki.answers commented, “"the one who fools the world for being dumb is the one we should all be afraid of.” In this case, Miss Norma Jean should have been pretty feared.

P.S Check out the two different eye color shades…I mean, I know it’s a trick of the light…but well…Emmy, Nutella, Sab, and Julzes can’t go a couple of weeks without saying “Are your eyes the same color today?...nope, this one’s lighter still.” Ahh, please excuse my interest in this idea and my obsession with ‘past lives.’
