All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That's his. ~ Oscar Wilde
You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around - and why his parents will always wave back. ~William D. Tammeus.
Allerliebste Mutter Tee: Ach, was hab ich doch für'n glück: Du, mama, bist das beste stück. Wie schön, dass ich dich wiederseh', komm trink' mit mir ein tässchen tee!
Meaning, "All time best mother tea: How lucky I am to have you: you mommy, are the best piece! How nice it is to see you again, come drink a little cup of tea with me!"
Well. Doesn't exactly translate. But you get the gist! It was a little gift I picked up on our last visit to Germany when I told my mom to go ahead on so I could look at the bears and dolls decked out in their German outfits. Little did she know...

All in all, the tea is right, mothers are incredible--especially when they end up paying for lunches you "took them out on." (Long story...) At the top are pictures of mine.
P.S Calling my mom Shanaynay first came up on her birthday a couple of years ago when I was explaining how to get your spy name from a Boy Meets World episode I had watched:
Rachel: You take your middle name and the name of the street you live on. Then you have your spy name. My name is Kimberly Beaumont.
Eric: I'm Jonathan Cumberland.
Jack: Eric, your middle name is Randall.
Eric: Jonathan Cumberland.
Jack: Do you even listen to the rules?
Eric: ...Who is Jonathan Cumberland?
Jack: All right. Good job.
Shawn: I'm...Patrick Trailer Park.
Angela: Get this...My spy name is Sha-Nay-Nay Martin Luther King Boulevard.
We've both loved it ever since. My mom's actually would be Herta Ilse Riverdale. Mine would be Charlotte Belleview. What would yours be? Ask your mom, too!
Happy mother's day!
